Omega Mentoring Youth Life Changing Programs

Bridges out of Poverty

Poverty is relative. If everyone around you has similar circumstances, the notion of poverty and wealth is vague. Poverty or wealth exists only in relationship to known quantities or expectations.

Poverty occurs in all races and in all countries. The notion of middle class as a large segment of society is a phenomenon of the 20th century and 21st centuries. The percentage of the population that is poor is subject to definition and circumstance.

Generational poverty and situational poverty are different. Generational poverty is defined as being in poverty for two generations or longer. Situational poverty is a shorter time and caused by circumstances (i.e., death, illness, divorce, etc.)

Getting Ahead While Getting Out

is a re-entry preparatory program designed for youth returning to the community with tools they will need to become better neighbors and citizens.

Your Choice 180 or 360

Change happens to us and the world everyday.  Either we make the change knowingly or our environment will change us unknowingly.  Control the changes you want to make. Become the person you want. This program is designed to help youth avoid duplicating mistakes (360) that lead to repeated negative outcomes.

How We Help

Removing Obstacles

We all have places in our life where we are blocked. Omega Mentoring Youth(OMY), will identify those blocks and find ways for youth to overcome them. We propose an approach to educate and bring awareness to each participating youth. To implement and evaluate a new project by connecting with youth in residential placement with stable, long-term social networks that provide support, accountability, and connection to resources that improve long-term outcomes for all participating youth.

The 3 Principles

Know Yourself

Be Yourself

Stay true to Yourself

Curtis "Skip" Hill

Live Your Dreams

When you choose to live a dream, you need a plan to make it come true. A mentor will help you develop a plan, stick to it and get around any obstacles.
